How to hold a Champagne Glass

At Rachel Bates, we have two different types of gorgeous crystal champagne glasses.

To hold a Champagne Flute, pinch the top of the stem between your thumb and forefinger. Your little finger should rest just above the base to ensure the crystal flute is steady.

When holding a Champagne Coupe or Saucer, you should take a similar approach to the flute, pinching the stem in the same manner. Alternatively, you can hold the rim. Proper etiquette is to fill a coupe ¾ of the way, meaning you can the lip can be grasped without warming the drink.

The reason for these methods is to prevent people from warming the drink with their hands. After all, Champagne is a drink best served cold.
