How to clean crystal wine glasses that are cloudy after long storage
Cloudiness in your crystalware can typically be caused by consistent contact with hard water which can build into calcium deposits over time. If you find your crystalware has become cloudy after a long time in storage, these tips can help restore the brilliance:
- Loosen the calcium deposits by leaving the crystal in a mixture of water and vinegar overnight, rinse with warm water and dry with a microfiber towel.
- Pearl Drops Toothpaste has been recommended for light calcium stains. Dab a small amount on your finger and gently rub. Finish by washing with warm water and drying with a microfiber towel.
- Fill the crystal with lukewarm water and place a denture-cleaning tablet in the piece.
