Rachel’s hand painted and gilded toleware is a modern interpretation of the original antique pieces that she so admires.
Rachel’s toleware collections are inspired by her love of collectables and antiquities. She has always loved interesting and colourful, toleware made from painted sheet metals, favouring large decorative trays, paper baskets and planters in particular.
She launches her toleware range with the multi-use, limited edition, paper basket, that can also be used for a whole host of things including floral arrangements and magazines.
W: Ø side to side: 24.5cm
D: Ø back to front: 19.5cm
Why not try using your toleware paper basket for uses other than paper, such as:
We would love to know how you make use of yours, do let us know.
Variations in the product's finish are characteristics of the creation process. Due to the handmade nature, no two pieces are ever exactly alike.
Only clean with a damp cloth or add a little washing up liquid if there is a stubborn marked area on the painted surface.
Clean very gently and with great care so as to not damage the painted surface.
For maximum protection. If you are using the toleware on a delicate wooden, marble, polished/delicate floor or upon a table top or other surface as a vase for flowers, holder for magazines, etc. It is advised that you place a protective mat underneath the item or self-adhesive felt pads around the base to avoid any damage or scratching to table tops and surfaces.
Always lift carefully to move, do not pull or drag along a surface or floor.
Peacock & Blossom Collection:
Rachel has a love for the Peacock which is evident throughout her collections and this particular design, is very close to her heart. The inspiration for the design was taken from a pair of beautiful Victorian glass vases that Rachel inherited & her fascination of these beautiful birds since childhood.
The peacock & blossom design was first launched with Rachel’s Limoges porcelain, Rug and Crystal collections with special pieces created for her collaboration with Champagne Laurent Perrier.
